Job Summary Propify is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer in charge of Smart Home automation. The person in this role will build applications and scripts integrating smart home components, and ensure secure configuration and OTA deployments to a fleet of thousands of home automation gateways. Essential Job Duties <ul><li>Develop and maintain custom software for home automation gateways.</li><li>Build and manage the deployment and distribution process.</li><li>Remotely troubleshoot production issues on individual gateways.</li></ul> Education and Experience <ul><li>Prior experience with remote Linux system administration, scripting</li><li>Experience with a general-purpose programming language (e.g. Java, Python, C,</li><li>Rust, Go), and pipeline tooling like git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Familiarity with Linux device hardening, secure systems programming processes, secure networking configuration, WIFI, VPNs</li><li>Previous experience with large-scale Smart Home or Internet of Things (IoT) deployments</li><li>Familiarity with remote device monitoring, logging, tracing and debugging</li><li>Nice-to-Have: familiarity with smart home apis and protocols like z-wave, zigbee</li></ul>
