Globant is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead their efforts in developing new AI systems and supporting existing ones.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of AI solutions. The Primary focus will on leveraging machine learning and AI technologies to replace manual tasks, optimize resource allocation, and enhance decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, apart from being able to lead other data scientists, to identify opportunities for AI implementation and oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects.

Required experience and skills: 

● Strong background in AI. In developing and implementing AI solutions, particularly in the context of outsourcing processes.

● +5 years experience as a Data Scientist

● SQL.

● Tensorflow or Pytorch.

● Python, R, or Java

● Experience with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

● AI technologies and frameworks such as natural language processing (NLP) and Recommendation Systems.

● Having worked with the cloud, ideally with Azure

● Upper intermediate / Advanced level of English

Beneficial experience to have:

● Azure (but open to other Cloud experiencie)

● Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

● Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.

● Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and experience with data manipulation and analysis using SQL and/or NoSQL databases,

structured and unstructured datasets.

● Experience with MLOps, tools like MLFLow, Kubeflow, Argo Workflow, Grafana, Neptune.ai, Weights & Biases, etc.

● Knowledge of data science products and their deployments, that is, able to create PoCs

relying on user interface applications like Streamlit (or similar) and Docker.

Responsibilities:

● Lead development and implementation of AI solutions and able to give support to existing ones.

● Identify opportunities for AI implementation across various business functions and processes.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.

● Design and build machine learning models and algorithms to automate manual tasks and optimize resource allocation.

● Develop data pipelines and workflows to support AI applications.

● Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and infrastructure.

● Conduct thorough analysis of data to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.

● Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and identify innovative approaches to enhance outsourcing processes.

● Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists on AI development, methodologies and best practices.

● Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

● Utilize A/B testing and Machine Learning explainability techniques.

● Create APIs or services to expose the models for consumption.

● Proficiency in any of these AI fields: NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems.
