In 2023, Kohler Co. announced the strategic decision to establish Kohler Energy as a separate, independent business with Platinum Equity as the majority investment partner. Kohler will continue to stay invested in the Energy business following the closing and remains committed to supporting the acceleration of long-term growth strategies for both organizations. Talent and operational transition plans are underway. 

We are in search of a System Integrations Manager to join us and start interviewing stakeholders, conducting Business Analysis, and coordinating technically with IT to define solutions.

The position involves:

● Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements and understand the specific information and reports needed for effective decision-making.

● Collaborate closely with the existing IT department to ensure the compatibility and coherence of the system with the current infrastructure. This includes assessing deployment and maintenance requirements.

● Design a robust system architecture that meets the identified requirements while aligning with IT standards and best practices.

● Lead a team of developers throughout the entire development lifecycle, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful implementation of the system.

● Oversee the integration of various data sources and platforms, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.

● Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

● Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of the system across the organization.

● Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to data integration and business intelligence, incorporating relevant advancements into the project where applicable.

● Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, milestones achieved, and any risks or challenges encountered.

● Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

 

Project description:

The team has a need for data, reports and business intelligence useful for the decision-making processes.  

Current Situation: Currently, this need is partially solved with manual Excel spreadsheets to track various metrics, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. They extract data from SAP and QAD ERP systems and then manually input it into Excel. The team wants to move away from this manual process to an automated system that can generate reports and graphics with less effort.

Proposed Solution: The proposal is to create a system where data can be inputted through a Web user interface (UI) and then have reports generated automatically, preferably in Power BI or similar. This also provides the ability to export these reports directly into PowerPoint for presentations. The long-term goal is to have the new system integrate directly with their ERP systems (SAP and QAD) through APIs to automate data flow into the database, thus reducing or eliminating manual data entry; also allowing for other tools (AI, other BI platforms) to extract more value out of the collected data.


Valuable background and abilities:

● Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

● Excellent written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

● Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving project success.

 

Required experience and skills: 

● Proven experience in leading complex system integration projects, preferably in a corporate environment.

● Strong understanding of data management principles, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), as well as data governance and quality assurance.

● Proficiency in designing scalable and efficient system architectures, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.

● Familiarity with a variety of programming languages, databases, and integration tools.

 

Beneficial experience and skills to have: 

● Programming skills and desire to work hands-on

Type of work:

This is a 100% remote work from Argentina.

 

Our Team:

Once the Design is advanced enough to allow for development, the Back End Developer joins the project to start implementing the solution. Once the backend, in particular the API, is advanced enough to allow for UI development, the Junior FrontEnd developer joins to implement that last piece of the Stage 1 solution. Reporting directly to senior leadership located in CST/EST time zones, ensuring effective communication and alignment with organizational objectives.
