We need you to implement the AutoScheduler solution in all the warehouse’s critical activities, so things like dock scheduling, loading, unloading, case picking, and the creation of transfer orders are all optimized.

About the role

AutoScheduler.AI launched a warehouse orchestration platform in August 2020 to assist IT teams in performing advanced warehouse planning with predictive decision-making and prescriptive analytics.

We help warehouses improve their efficiency by applying algorithms to their processes to determine when, what, and how to receive, move, and dispatch stock. We have a host of high-profile clients such as Procter & Gamble and others.

Though based in Austin, TX, we have teams distributed across the US, Argentina, Colombia, etc

Currently, we are seeking a Software Developer to contribute to all aspects of database development: design, query development, query optimization, database security and BI support. Experience developing and supporting supply chain applications, particularly warehouse management systems (WMS) is strongly preferred.

The responsibilities include:

● Be a subject matter expert on the data model, directly developing and implementing complex queries and DDL.

● Contribute to database design, database administration, performance monitoring,performance-tuning and troubleshooting.

● Optimize queries to reduce costs, improve performance and reliability.

● Maintain database schema and migrations in the source control system.

● Develop unit testing for key database features.

● Coordinate with other engineering team members to develop new products, features, and to successfully resolve support and maintenance issues.

● Enforce database standards and best practices to enhance performance and security.

 

Valuable background and abilities

● Strong customer service orientation and passion to work through obstacles to produce results.

● Adept at working in a collaborative, project-based, and remote-first, team environment.


Required experience and skills:

● Developing and implementing complex queries and DDL.

● Recent SQL Server and Azure SQL experience.

● Experience developing and supporting supply chain applications, particularly warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.


Beneficial experience and skills to have:

● Experience with Flyway

● Additional code-based development experience


Seniority and years of experience:

Senior with 5+ in progressive database development roles.

 

Studies/ Degree:

BA/BSc in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering degree


English Level

Upper-Intermediate. Fluency in computing-related technical is required.

 

Type of work:

100 % Remote. Location is unimportant, but your standard working day must overlap at least 5 hours with 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (US) Central Standard Time.


Team:

You will report to the Manager (SQL).
